In our showroom, you’ll see a huge amount of samples and colors. Check out what the different edge profile styles look like in our vast showroom with many kitchen displays/vignettes. Most people who get countertops at Carole’s do so in conjunction with their new kitchen cabinetry. However, we also have many customers who want to simply replace countertops and keep their existing cabinets. (Either way, we address countertop-related choices/work such as, back splashes, polished edge detail, sink or cook-top cutouts, and facilitate templating and installation.

Here’s more detail, depending on your personal needs:

Selecting new cabinetry AND new countertops? As part of your kitchen design process, your designer will help you select and get an estimate for your desired countertop product, color, edge profile, etc. Once your new cabinetry is installed, a template will be made and your new tops fabricated and installed. We'll review edge-style options (Above: :Ogee edge)

Want new kitchen countertops ONLY? We will help you select a product, color, profile etc. from the many options. When you first visit us to start the selection process and get a quote, please bring some preliminary, very basic measurements of your space. (A professional template will be made before finalizing your order.) Here’s a sample sketch:

Natural Stone Countertops:

Through our terrific relationships with local stone vendors and fabricators, Carole’s offers you huge selection of granite and marble. Once we have a sense of what colors you like, we will find the best sources for you to go see and select your actual slabs. Price for granite varies by color/pattern.

Soapstone also falls under the natural stone category, and Carole’s offers this too. It is quarried, as is granite and quartz. Soapstone is non-porous, so it’s resistant to bacteria growth. You don’t need to seal it, but it is suggested that you periodically rub it with mineral oil to bring out natural beauty and marbling.

Quartz Countertops:

Natural quartz products are made of more than 90 percent quartz, which is 10 times harder than granite and mixed with a resin. You can get quartz under many brand names and in loads of colors. Many of our clients opt for quartz because of its consistent color (in other words, no dramatic variation in color/pattern) and because it’s non-porous and requires no maintenance. Read on for more info about some of the quartz brands Carole’s offers. While quartz does have seams when pieces must be joined, it doesn’t have to be sealed.
